We are pleased to send to you the GLTN newsletter for the first quarter of 2009 in a new template/layout. This is in response to numerous requests. The newsletter will showcase the Network's events, will feature some pro-poor land innovative land tools and will provide updates on a quarterly basis. This is our way of communicating with all of you. The newsletter will also be open for your contribution and suggestions. We would like to thank all of you for all your suggestions and feedbacks which inpire us to aim and work for the better. Below are some announcements for your further information. We would like to get your opinions and enhance your contribution and participation in the achievement of the GLTN agenda, Your cooperation will be highly appreciated. Rest assured that we will do our best to better serve the Network.

Furthermore, we are pleased to inform you that as of now GLTN individual members are already estimated at 900, representing about 120 countries. ANNOUNCEMENTS

Innovative Programs/Practices

GLTN would like to get some inputs and information from partners and network members to highlight some good practices and innovative programs/projects at country level. Such information will also be used by the Secretariat on deciding what countries to engage with in the future to document best practices, undertake research and evaluations and possibly, develop land tools. All interested parties may submit not more than a two-page paper describing the initiative including references for further information (i.e. web, documents, etc.) and contact details. Articles for the next Newsletter

All partners and members are encouraged to submit news and feature articles for the next newsletter showcasing any reform initiatives or events.
